On Saturday, July 20th, at 12:00 PM, the Director General of Cultural Heritage, Sònia Hernández, the Mayor of Vall de Boí, Sonia Bruguera, the Director of the Center for the Restoration of Movable Property of Catalonia, Mireia Mestre, and the Commissioner of the Year Taüll, Eduard Riu, will present the restoration of the mural fragment “El Bany de Jesús” at Santa Maria de Taüll.
The event is part of the activities planned to commemorate the 900th anniversary of the consecration of the churches of Sant Climent and Santa Maria de Taüll, which began in December 2023. As part of efforts to preserve and promote both Romanesque buildings and the heritage they contain, the Centre for Restoration of Movable Heritage of Catalonia has restored a fragment of Romanesque mural painting that will be displayed in its original location inside Santa Maria de Taüll.
